Programne for the Cooking School Week with olive oil

Saturday:

After you are settled in your rooms, there will be a cocktail party at 6:00pm

Dinner at 7:30pm 

Sunday:

Breakfast will be served at 9:30am

Then we suggest after relaxing a visit to Siena known to be the heart and soul of Italy

(about an hour from the castle)  or

a drive around the Chianti Classico area( Greve, Radda and Panzano)

Dinner at the castle at 7.30pm 

Monday:

Breakfast is served at 8:00am
9.30 am- A visit to the olive groove to see how olives are picked and to learn about the different types. 
Then a visit to the ‘frantoio’ to see how the olives are squeezed.( shown in the photos above)
Then a wine tour with tasting at a famous chianti farm with a snack-on request

Dinner will be served at  the castle at 7:30pm 

Tuesday

Breakfast is served at 8:00am.
Cooking lessons start at 9:30am
Delicious food with new olive oil
Minestra di pane
Cavolo and fagioli
Pezzimonio
Pappa al pomodori
Lunch will be served at 1:00pm

Afternoon free time

This evening reservations can be made at a local Trattoria restaurant. (own expense) 8:00pm  


Wednesday:
Breakfast is served at 8:00am
Cooking lessons start at 9:30am
Today you learn to prepare a famous meat sauce known as Bolognese Sauce,
Stuffed  Vegetables in various ways( Tomatoes ,Mushrooms, Zucchini and Celery)
Or
Crostini with sausage and cheese
Polenta with Funghi (mushrooms)
Green Gnocchi.
Lunch will be served at 1:00pm

Afternoon free time
This evening dinner reservations can be made where you wish at your own expense.


Thursday:

Breakfast is served at 8:00am.

I would suggest that today you spend your day in Florence.

If you wish to see the Uffizzi gallery or the Accedmia where the David statue is please let us know even before arrival
so that we can book to get in-always busy so must be booked.

Rather than driving and enduring the hassle of parking why not take the bus.
Only 20 minutes and it departs every 15 minutes, and it is comfortable and inexpensive.
Only Euro 1,20 each way if you buy the ticket in the newspaper shop across the road from the bus,
otherwise Euro 2,00 on the bus

It will cost more than that to park in Florence for half an hour.

Dinner will be served at 7:30pm  

Friday:

Breakfast is served at 8:00am and the morning free time.

Cooking lessons start at 3:00pm and today you learn about desert preparation.

Tiramisu and Prato biscuits.

Other recipe that guests wish to try.

Farewell dinner will be served at 7:30pm

   

Saturday:

Breakfast is served at 8:00am and then checkout.
