Programme:

DAY 1 Sunday - Afternoon arrival at Podere Torremozza

Transfer from Florence airport or train station to Podere Torremozza. 
 
After settling in you will be shown around the estate which will be your home for the next few days.  
Time to relax in your apartment before enjoying a welcome drink with one of your hosts, 
Suzanna, who will explain the history and olive oil production of this 15th Century farmhouse. 
 
Later Francesco, your chef for the week will prepare dinner. 

DAY 2 Monday -  Chianti Classico & wine tasting

(10.00) Drive through this beautiful countryside visiting the famous wine estate and church of Badia di Coltibuono,
 followed by a visit to the delightful hamlet of Volpaia with a stop for lunch in a characteristic restaurant. 
 
Visit to the wine estate of Casa Emma.Return to Podere Torremozza (16.30) 
for another hands-on cooking lesson followed by dinner.  

DAY  3 Tuesday - A full day in Florence  

After breakfast (09.30),  your driver/guide will accompany you to Florence.
 See the famous look out point, Piazzale Michelangelo with it’s beautiful views over the city and the River Arno.  
You will join in an orientation walk with an expert guide and then have free time for shopping, visiting museums or lunch. 
Meet up in the late afternoon for the return journey to Podere Torremozza, 
stopping at a local delicatessen to pick up some local cheese, ham, salami and wine for the evening, (19.30)

DAY 4 Wednesday – A perfect morning in the Medieval village of Poppi followed by wine-tasting

After breakfast (09.30) you will meet your driver/guide, who will take you to one of the most interesting 
and picturesque towns of the Casentino region, Poppi, which dates back to the early Medieval period
 with a 12th century castle built by the Conti Guidi family.  
You will have time to explore this characteristic centre then transfer to the Frescobaldi Wine Estate, 
Castello di Nippozano for a tour of the property followed by wine tasting and a light lunch.  
Return to Podere Torremozza in the afternoon (15.30) for a rest before your hands-on cooking class.
 Followed by dinner.  

DAY 5 Thursday – Siena & San Gimignano

Late morning  pick up (11.00) for a drive to The beautiful Renaissance city of Siena.  
Free time to explore.  Meet your driver/guide to transfer to the picturesque Medieval town of San Gimignango. 
 
Drive back stopping off in Imprugneta, famous for the manufacture of terracotta.  
Dinner on the terrace overlooking the charming square.  
Transfer to Podere Torremozza late evening.(23.00)

DAY 6 Friday – Vallombrosa National Park

After breakfast (09.30) you will visit the impressive Monastery of Vallombrosa 
situated in one of the largest National parks in Europe followed by lunch. 
Return to Podere Torremozza In the  afternoon (15.30). 
Time to relax at Podere Torremozza before enjoy your last cooking class followed by the last nights dinner.

 

DAY 7 Saturday – Farewell. 
 
Departure after breakfast.
Transfer to Florence airport or train station.
